Dominated by Isa's punta (1630 m), Tavera is encircled with sweet chestnut trees and beeches.

It is from one of the hamlets, that of Poggio as well as the church Saint André, that set forms Tavera's village.

But it is especially necessary to underline the presence to Canapale, one of the hamlets of Tavera, a high statue-menhir of 2.40 m found in 1961 and dating the II millennium before J-C.
