This archeological site classified by UNESCO, was found in 1946 by its owner.

This site offers magnificently a synthesis of the historic origin of Corsica through the successive evocations of neolithic, megalithic periods, torrean and roman.

The entrance of the central monument passes notably to be " the expression the most succeeded in the neolithic statuary ".

During the history, Filitosa became a real place of cult. The visit of one hour and a half (minimum) of this site redraws us so more than 8000 years of history. It is in any cases sculptured menhirs of the site that make the originality of it.
