guided tour corsica bastia st florent cap corse
This picturesque village situated in the south root of the " Cap Corse ", possesses some remarkable charms.

First of all, it is an exceptional site with side of mountain, sunny hillsides covered with vineyards, a microclimate and a magnificent sight on Saint Florent's bay and on mountains of Nebbio.

So, it is in this place that was found one of rare statues-menhirs of High Corsica and especially the only one of the island in limestone.

Besides, the Church Saint-Martin is a building dating the XVI possessing a church tower of the XIX what confers it an attractive aspect in its proportions.

A little of history:
In this place were born two opponent inflexible of Napoleon, the brothers Arena, among whom the one Joseph was guillotined in 1801 to have opposed to the future emperor.

But it is above all the " capital of wines Corsica " and it is thanks to the famous vineyard that Patrimono owes it good name indeed beyond the island.

Patrimonio's wines were the first ones to obtain the famous accreditation in 1968. The most interesting is certainly the white who agrees with all the fishes and the seafoods returned from Centuri's port by the local fishermen and served this picturesque village until Saint Florent. The wine properties are rather small (20 hectares) what confers them a quite particular charm and especially participate largely in the craft elaboration of red wines, white and pinkish because of a limited production. The used vines are authentically Corsican, and do not suffer from the addition of chemicals because of methods of " encépagement " and wine making ancestral.
Wines are generous accompanying very well the cooked pork meats and the game, they grow on a calcareous soil mixed by clay.
