Calenzana's village possesses some jewels which makes one of the most attractive municipalities of Corsica.
The municipality was formerly most populated before Ile-Rousse and Calvi dethrones it. Indeed, the big misery of the inhabitants, in the XIX-th century, provoked the exodus of a big part of the population.
