This site was classified in the regional natural reserve of Corsica; These gorgesvery frequented in high season are the point of departure of numerous walks. They are moreover accessible only on foot.

The high valley of Restonica is perched in 1000 m of height and the river of the same name which pours there, conceal uncountable animal species. So, golden eagles to the trouts by way of the foxes, a big variety of sorts populates this magnificent valley.

The river although a little bit cold even durig the summer, remains very appreciated, especially after one of the difficult walking to be made from the valley.

The site was even classified big national site in 1985. The river arises in 1711 m from height in the lake of Melo in the Massif of Rotondo.
