Whether it is from the shore or from a boat, fishing is very common in Corsica.

The rich marine fauna along the coast is a pleasure for all fishermen:

- rock fish : scorpion fish, sea bass, sars, moray eel, conger eel...

- sand fish : red mullet, gilt-head bream...

The Cap Corse is the place to fish followed by Balagne, the Golfe du Valinco and Porto-Vecchio.
Sea urchins are also widely fished, but forbidden from 1st April to the 30th November.
