These are the local network of paths which link the villages up to one another, they are what once were former mule tracks and are suited for everyone without any major difficulties.

Local pathways
They provide walks that you can do within a day, between 2 and 5 hours walk.
- Alta Rocca (in the south near Zonza and Quenza, 5 fifferent routes in the same day including ‘les aiguilles de Bavella’).
- Boziu (from the south of Castagniccia to Corte, 4 paths of around 5 hours each permitting you to discover the chapels nestled in the little valleys or perched on a ridge).
- Fiumorbu (above Ghisonaccia, 5 circuits providing a view on the east coast).
- Giussani (in haute Balagne, 7 itineraries from Olmi-Capella away from the big tourist areas).
- Niolo (the heart of the island and the highest region around Calacuccia and Albertacce, 5 paths enabling you to go through forests, see rivers and Genoese bridges).
- Taravu (a shaded valley south of Ajaccio, several paths starting out from Guitera de Cozzano).
- Venachese (around Venaco, 5 itineraries of 4 to 5 hours).

Other walks of a few hours and suitable for everyone are possible around the island.
